Butterfly Top Table (Low Table Variation) This Butterfly Top Table (Low Table Variation) piece is the latest in custom design pieces for a client. The Cocktail Table measures 46" long by 22" deep by 18" high. The Lamp Table is 26" x 22" x 23"H Legs are veneered for a quarter - sawn grain appearance on 4 sides. Arched Aprons with Mackintosh "window" cutouts. Mortise and Tenon "framed top" with inlaid butterfly joints. The finish is lightly fumed (6 hours) followed by six coats of shellac (french polishing) and two coats of varnish (all hand rubbed). The process is completed with two coats of Butcher's or Bri wax and a final buffing for a lustrous shine.
